New Flights To Turkey from Easy Jet
Easyjet is launching cheap flights to Turkey as it expands beyond its traditional markets. From the summer, Easy Jet will add flights to Turkey's largest city Istanbul, Dalaman and Bodrum. According to Easyjet’s chief executive Andrew Harrison, "This is probably our most significant expansion since the start of our new routes to Central and Eastern Europe in May 2004." The London Luton to Istanbul route will be the first to launch on June 29th, with daily flights.
A few years ago according to Philippe Vignon, Commercial Manager for Turkey commented," Istanbul is the only city in the world that embraces two continents - Europe and Asia and is a spellbinding combination of past and present. Once the capital of three successive empires – the East Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman - the city has unique historical and cultural traditions with a captivating array of attractions including bazaars, palaces, sights of natural beauty and the World famous Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. For next summer as many as 21 new destinations are available from Easyjet thanks to the company's takeover of GB Airways. Easyjet's routes from Gatwick airport will increase to 66 and eight further routes from Manchester airport.
