Ankara is a unique turkey holiday destination. Ankara is the capital of Turkey located at the heart of both Turkey and Central Anatolia. The old heart of the city (Ulus) is centered on an ancient citadel on a hilltop, where many historic buildings have been restored, with many having been turned into restaurants with traditional Turkish cuisine and flavors. In this area there are different Roman archaeological sites and shops with eastern delights like leather, carpets, copper, spices and jeweler.
With rich history including Roman, Turkish and Greek history the city offer a strong cultural environment. Since Alexander the Great, one of the conquerors, there are different unearthing city's historic attractions. There are museums, and beautiful parks, including Kugulu Park, known for its graceful swans, and the Genclik Park with the botanical garden.
